Mander Madness 2021
One of the biggest events in traditional sports is underway, as the NCAA Men’s college basketball tournament of 68 (otherwise known as March Madness) is rolling on through.
Speaking of tournaments and competitive play, we’re currently in the middle of our own with the 2021 Spring Split. We definitely suggest checking it out as we’re wrapping up round-robin play on Sunday, April 11th and beginning Spring Playoffs on Saturday, April 17th. (Note: The Spring Split mega-page is currently inaccessible due to backend website issues.)
Anyways, we’re clearly crazy about Manders; you’re also crazy about Manders.
Heck, we even have a community manager nicknamed Manderson.

Thus, to coincide with NCAA March Madness, we’ve created Mander Madness – A celebration of all things Manders. What’s a celebration without contests? We’re bringing back a fan favorite in MSPaint Manders as well as a “Mandertopia” themed housing contest due to the great reception from our August 2020 Aztecan housing contest.
The Return of MSPaint Manders
To enter:
- Use a basic drawing program such as Microsoft Paint or do it on paper (doesn’t even have to be normal paper, can even be a napkin) to make the worst looking Mander you can. We cannot stress enough that your Mander has to look AWFUL. Entries must follow the code of conduct listed here.
- Describe and explain why you made your creation. Write a sentence, write a paragraph, write a MLA formatted essay, or even a novel since there’s no word limit.
Send your monstrosity of a creation to contests@duelcircle.com with the subject line “Mander Madness MSPaint Contest”. Please include your wizard’s name so we can credit you if you win!
Make sure to send the file in a .jpeg or .png format. If we can’t open the file, we won’t be able to see it and will have to disqualify you.
Entries must be sent by Monday, April 5th Friday, April 9th at 11:59pm Eastern. Winners will be emailed during the week of Monday, April 12th and featured on the website.
Prizes will be awarded by creativity and presentation:
- 1st Place: 10,000 Crowns + Doomsday Krok Housing Gauntlet + Permanent Mander Palanquin Mount + 1 Gobbler Vision Housing Item
- 2nd Place: 5,000 Crowns + Permanent Mander Palanquin Mount + 1 Gobbler Vision Housing Item + 1 Doomsday Krok Hoard Pack

Krokotopia… Mandertopia
Picture Krokotopia but without the Kroks. Channel your interior design senses and decorate your Ravenwood Dorm by creating a Krokotopia… Mandertopia atmosphere and embracing your inner Mander. (Please do not create a shrine for Tinu Bhak’mal otherwise we will think you are weird…even though that’s something we should’ve probably made years ago.)
The only rule is that you must incorporate at least one Mander somewhere. I mean, it is Mander Madness after all. Any Mander pet, item, a friend with a Mander transformation on, a Mander treasure card in a treasure card display…you get the idea.
If you’re a player who does not have access to non free-to-play areas, you can try hatching for a Mander pet through the Hatchmaking Kiosk or craft a treasure card display and buy a treasure card.
Glitching is not required to win, although the Advanced Move tool can be very useful. You must stay within the dorm room space. Sinking items into walls is fine, however anything outside the walls cannot be seen via screenshot.
To Enter:
- Take one screenshot showing your housing UI along with your overhead name showing.
- Take one overall screenshot showcasing your dorm room without Photomancy.
- Take one-two screenshots showcasing your doom room with Photomancy.
- Write a paragraph explaining your design process and how you interpreted the theme.
Maximum 4 screenshots, no videos will be accepted. Send your 3-4 screenshots and explanation paragraph, in an email to contests@duelcircle.com. In the subject line, write “Mander Madness Housing Contest”.

Best Mander in the Spiral Brakcet
What would Mander Madness be without it’s own bracket. We want to determine the Best Mander in the Spiral. During Week 8 and 9’s Spring Split broadcasts, we’ll be polling viewers to decide key matchups in a 16 Mander bracket that has been randomly seeded. The Best Mander in the Spiral will be determined on Sunday, April 12th and honored in a special article. (Note: The Spring Split mega-page is currently inaccessible due to backend website issues.)
